Theosophy and the Theosophical Society
On Wednesday, September 6, at 7pm, Peggy Heubel from our friends at the Richmond Theosophical Society will be giving a lecture at Hillside as part of our “Spiral” lecture series on comparative religion, inner spirituality, mysticism, and consciousness.
Her talk will be entitled
“Theosophy and the Theosophical Society”,
and will discuss the history and philosophy of Theosophy, a pluralistic movement that was deeply influenced by, and shares many commonalities with Swedenborgianism, and has had a major impact on modern alternative spirituality. She will also be talking about the life of the legendary Helena Blavatsky, one of the most fascinating women of the past few centuries.
Requested donation $5.00. No one turned away for lack of funds.
