Join us for a lecture by Colin Amato! This presentation will be in lieu of the regular Sunday worship service. Says Colin:

The Red Book has been called “The Holy Grail of Psychology.” Published for the first time to the public in 2009, in subsequent years many authors and scholars have attempted to understand the profound material of its pages. This lecture will address the content of the book from a psychological and spiritual perspective. Carl Jung’s experience of the Red book has been called many things: creative fantasy, spiritual revelation, and insanity. We will examine these claims and also see parallels to Swedenborg’s Journal of Dreams in an attempt to uncover the truth of Jung’s experience. Both Swedenborg and Jung had initial experiences which they attributed to forces of the unconscious, which both took as signs of connecting to a force greater than themselves.
